Save the Date: The Gloo AI Hackathon

3 min

We are living at a turning point. AI is no longer science fiction—it’s shaping everything about how we live, work, and connect. But as this powerful technology advances, so do the questions: Who is it being built for? What values are shaping it? And how do we ensure it actually helps people flourish?

The hackathon isn’t just about building faster tools or smarter apps. It’s about building the right things—solutions that uplift people, strengthen communities, and align with our deepest values. The theme this year says it all: AI for Human Flourishing.

We’re gathering developers, pastors, ministry leaders, technologists, content creators, gamers, and innovators from across the faith ecosystem for three days of building, dreaming, and doing. And yes, there’s a place for you.

Save the date now and join us for the Gloo AI Hackathon this fall (October 8-10) in Boulder, Colorado.

What to Expect:

  • A 30-day hacking window starting September 8, giving you more time to develop, test, and refine your ideas.

  • A world-class in-person hackathon in Boulder, where bold builders and big-hearted believers will connect and collaborate in real life.

  • Tracks for all kinds of builders—whether you’re into gaming, Bible translation, church tech, AI development, or creating content that connects.

  • Mentorship & talks from Gloo leaders, industry experts, and mission-driven innovators.

  • Prizes & recognition, including real cash and a few surprise categories (yes, including best shoes).

What does that look like in real life? Check out the stories of our 2024 winners here and watch the video recap here.

But here’s what’s underneath all of that:

This hackathon is a space to reimagine the future of AI. What if we started measuring flourishing? What if we measured healing, belonging, discipleship, and purpose—and built toward that?

Come build. Come serve. Bring your boldest ideas or your deepest needs. Because what we create matters.

Space is limited, so now is the time to tell your friends and colleagues, and get this on your fall calendar.
